Finally, the winter season is approaching.

Usually from the second half of December Hakuba Village becomes very busy as the number of tourists from abroad begins to increase as a winter resort.

One of the problems that always arises is securing restaurants.

There are not many restaurants in Hakuba Village, and it is often the case that you can’t make a restaurant reservation and end up starving while looking for one here and there.

That’s why CHESTNUTS has planned the ‘OBENTO’ plan.

The concept is to allow guests, mainly from overseas, to experience and savour the Japanese “OBENTO” culture without having to hunt around for a restaurant.

The “OBENTO” is packed with rice, side dishes and fruit in a colourful and nutritionally balanced way, just like what is eaten every day in a Japanese home.

Enjoy a quick and easy “obento” during your stay at CHESTNUTS.

Price: ¥ 1500 per person (minimum order of two).

Payment: Full payment by credit card in advance (non-refundable after payment is completed).

Application: Please apply at least three days in advance using the contact form. (We cannot accept orders on the day of check-out.)

Pick-up: delivery to CHESTNUTS at the specified time between 10am and 6pm.

Vegan and allergy support may not be available. Please enquire in advance.

SUP (Stand Up Paddle) is one of the recommended activities during the green season in Hakuba.

We introduce a tour at Lake Aoki, a 15-minute drive from CHESTNUTS, where you can try SUP for the first time.
